Leah is originally from the South but moved to San Francisco to escape torture at the hands of three older brothers and sisters. A childcare specialist, Leah worked as a professional nanny in San Francisco for 12 years before becoming a full-time monster wrangler to her own daughter. Leah is also the sole proprietor of Scotty & Min, specializing in feminist apparel and accessories.

When not parenting or melting in front of a t-shirt press, she is a collector of bones, maker of ice cream, and still harbors her childhood crush for Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
