Watches serve the purpose of keeping time, and to me time is an unbelievable ideal. A quote by Albert Einstein has stuck with me over the years and I quote “the only reason for time is so not everything happens all at once.” I believe this quote opens a good view point into how I go about my day to day lifestyle, and why I like to collect watches as well as fix and improve the things that need improvement. I can’t do everything I need to do at once and it will take time to finish all that I start.
Hi, my name is JT Leake. An untimely fact about myself is that I collect watches. I’m not sure why I like watches as much as I do, but they seem to never go out of style. To me watches are timeless even though time is exactly what they keep. Some are old and scratched while some are shiny and brand new. Some serve the purpose of design and beauty, and all of them are used to let you know when to be where you need to be. Before I become philosophical, I have two watches in particular that I wear all the time. You can spot the favorite in my collection in my profile picture, as well as on my wrist right now. I never leave home without it. My most prized collection piece is a 1970’s Omega Seamaster because of its class and sentimental value. Each watch I have serves a purpose and tells a little different story about me.
