I have been in the instructional design arena for about 3 years. I love to learn how to create learning that will keep the Learner engaged and help them retain the information.

I have used many different software development systems and continue to explore new ones. I am currently using Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Word, Captivate, and PowerPoint.

I am currently working on a volunteer project of developing training for new volunteers for Special Olympic of Ireland. This training will help the new volunteers in the induction process and will also allow existing volunteers to have a refresher of the organization. This project has allowed me to expand my skills in working on a project that requires 100% of communication to be virtual. It has also help me in making sure that I am gathering the requirements of the project and developing solutions to meet those requirements. This project has been helpful in developing cultural awareness and subject sensitivity.

I have been working on expanding my knowledge base in using Facebook for as a learning environment, Pinterest for learning, and I am starting to learn how to incorporate eBooks development and delivery in eLearning.

I have been developing software simulations for quality software over the last year. I have also had to re-defined the training program to make sure that our global audience has been supported.

I have been expanding my knowledge in the Learning Management Software for a large implementation project.

I continue to learn about new technologies such as Augmented Reality, Gamificaiton, and development concepts that will bring in more social media into learning.
