Have been in the Substance abuse management business since 2015. Began professional career in 1991 as member of the General Electric Financial Management Program. Recruited to Merrill Lynch in 1993 as a Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, and Managing Director of Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group in NYC. In 2003, joined the Fidelity Brokerage Company’s Senior Management Team and was the Founding President of Fidelity Investment’s Family Office Business. In 2015, joined Blackmere Partners.
Contributes to most engagements and is responsible for leading the healthcare practice which specializes on managing and investing in a group of substance abuse treatment centers under the brand of Elev8 Centers. CEO of Elev8 Centers. Has worked in a variety of roles within the Substance Abuse Field for over fifteen years. Has been a volunteer, business consultant, an operator and owner of inpatient and outpatient treatment and wellness centers. Understands the interdependencies between substance abuse and other social, legal, and emotional challenges. Since the inception, Elev8 Centers have helped a wide range of individuals to overcome their addiction to a variety of drugs and alcohol.
Did BS Degree in Business from the University of Maryland. Also served as an adjunct professor at NYU Stern School of Business, teaching Investment Theory and Financial Planning.
Earned a Certified Investment Manager Analyst designation (CIMA) and a Certified Financial Planner Certification (CFP).
Likes Nature Photography, Hiking, Biking, Traveling, Skiing and Scuba Diving.
Contributes to Educational, Jewish, and Substance Abuse Charities. Passionate about giving back to community and has served on several philanthropic boards including the Maimonides School, University of Maryland Hillel, The University of Maryland Smith School of Business, the American Heart Association and The Foundation for Jewish Camp.
Participated for 10 years in 194 mile Pan Mass Challenge charity bike ride which benefits the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Also participated in 180 mile Friendship Circle charity bike ride which benefits children with special needs.
