Hello fellow classmates and colleagues! My name is Sharleen and I am currently taking this course to expand my knowledge on assessments.

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Bachelor of Education both at the University of British Columbia. I’ve taught Grade 2 and Kindergarten at independent schools. And have also taught EAL, Resource and Gifted Education at a B.C. school district. I’ve recently switched to a different B.C. School District where I am currently a TTOC.

A fun fact about me is that I love cooking! I took a short break from teaching to attend culinary school back in 2019. I especially enjoy making stews and soups in the winter and experimenting with new compositions.

I also enjoy reading and soccer. I currently play on two soccer teams and will play in the sunshine or pouring rain:) I also enjoy learning languages and have been missing travel a lot the past two years. Hoping to get into a bit more gardening in the future.
