Hello, my name Leena Said. I am currently persuing my MSW at USC. I graduated from Philadelphia University with a degree in psychology, with a minor in communication. I'm a call counselor in the day, a grad student in the evenings, and a LGBT youth counselor at night. I've volunteered and interned at centers that helped adults living with developmental disabilities and hospitals. I hope to get my PhD in clinical/child clinical psychology and then get a my dream job as a clinician at a youth center or group home.
I have my own anti-bullying and LGBT blog called One In A Million Voices (currently in re-design mode) that shows the progress of the current LGBT movement and list resources for kids/teens who are stuck in violent or troubling situations. I'm always reading the newest laws regarding mental health and kids/teens and keep up to date with the newest research regarding mental health and kids/teens.
I'm great at research and writing, patient, smart, and passionate about helping kids/teens. I'm willing to move or travel if the school/job asks for me to do so. My resume is available upon request, so please feel free to email me! Or if you want you can always go to my LinkedIn Profile.
