Hi! I have 17 years work experience in IT in education and have worn many hats over my career, including as 1st and 2nd line support engineer overseeing multiple Cisco, Citrix, VMware and Microsoft technologies and a host of opensource stacks and databases, and was among the first of the general public to train on Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and still use it heavily to this day in both professional and personal capacities, to today as an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer.

For most of my career, I provided technical support and assistance to and gained a rapport with teaching staff, academics, researchers and executive-level for tailoring my service delivery to positive outcomes, before moving to Cybersecurity and Information Security as the IT Security Officer for the last 5 years, and more recently as IT Security Senior Engineer.

Outside of work, I learn and use historical computing technologies as well as more current-day technologies, some limited electronic repair, donate to open source and Internet Archive, publish some quick snippets of code I've used in my work on Github that I put together in my free time, and more. I've also previously supported the Folding@Home project by donating compute power toward helping researchers learn about and create methods to combat SARS-CoV-2 during the 2020 lockdown.

I'm looking to network and expand on my career opportunities and create new learning paths to improve my skills.
