Legendz Squad

Legendz Squad is a profound Hip Hop group that was formed 2005 in the birth country of Zimbabwe named (G-Fam). The group had the most lethal Dj’s and Mc’s Zimbabwe had ever seen. Two individuals named Neil Gono (GRIFFEN EYE) AND Paul Gomwe (HD420) left the country to pursue further studies in South Africa where (GRIFFEN EYE) studied I.T and (HD420) studied Sound Engineering.

In 2008 the two were reunited in Johannesburg, where they formed a duo group that saw a change in the South African Hip Hop game (LEGENDZ SQUAD) which pushed hard in the streets of Auckland Park with their hit mixtapes (Meeting Of The Bosses). Their fans received them well but most record labels told them they sounded too American and South Africa did not have enough market for them. That did not stop them and in no time they were performing around Johannesburg but this didn't move them as much as they wanted for unfortunately Record Labels always have the benefits and exposure required especially in the previous era. They decided to take a break in 2010 and ventured into other fields of expertise.

2015 the boys were back at it, with the love and passion for entertainment they just could not hold themselves with South Africa’s 90% local movement which saw a huge rise in African Hip Hop. The group is back with a banger mixtape (WINS & LOSSES) to be released in 2018, this will definitely put them on the map as though they never left. With songs like (Werk, Wins & Losses, Marathon etc.) South Africa is yet to witness greatness in the movement...... Big up LEGENDZ SQUAD.
