Born in Las Vegas, NV but moved back home to Wahiawa, Hawaii when she turned one years old. Started playing golf at 3 years old. Leia learned the game at our home course Leilehua Golf Club located 5 minutes away from our home. Currently playing in the U.S. Kids Golf 10 -11 year old division. Started playing tournament golf in January 2012. Won her first 9 tournaments which earned an exemption to the 2012 U.S. Kids Golf World Championships where she managed 3rd place, shooting final round score of -1 under for the 27 hole 3 day tournament in her first attempt playing in a National Golf Tournament - Midland Country Club, North Carolina. She also had a short cameo appearance in the movie "The Short Game" a golfing documentary about 7 year old golfers which was pretty cool. Leia then won another 9 tournaments in a row which includes shooting her record low score of -7 under par for 9 holes at Mililani Golf Course located on the island of Oahu. Leia took all of her momentum to Monterey California winning 1st place at the U.S. Kids Golf Regional Monterey Challenge Tournament after recieving a two sroke penalty on the day for a late tee time. She managed to shoot -2 under par to win by 4 shots. Leia ended her dream 2012 golf season by winning 1st place in the last U.S. Kids Golf Fall Tour Championship which was played at Turtle Bay Fazio Golf Course in Kahuku, HI which included winning Player of the Year and ending her 2012 season in style.
