History of Leicester
It was the industrial era which began in the 1800’s which really transformed the area. Factories were constructed, particularly along the banks of the canal. The population also boomed from 1861 to 1901, going from 68,100 to 211,600.
Today, the cathedral city is well known for its diverse economy. It is an excellent place to do business with excellent transportation links and a vast range of sectors.

The city of Leicester has plenty of landmarks and attractions you can visit. Just some of its award-winning attractions include the National Space Centre, Curve Theatre, Abbey Park and the Leicester Cathedral.
