Raised chiefly in Alaska, I have spent most of my adult life traveling and living abroad on six of the seven continents, employed in a multitude of different industries ranging from writing, publishing, teaching, government, and consulting to commercial fishing, construction, sales, management, and marketing.
Schooled in physics, political science and commercial photography, my personal interests lie with history & languages, art & technology, and astronomy. My favorite hobby is traveling by motorbike, and I am intermediately fluent in Mandarin Chinese, have past usage of Spanish, Greek, Norwegian, and Thai, and continue to study French and Russian.
After fifteen years in Asia, I returned to the United States and founded an eco-tour company specializing in marine, land and air excursions in Southeast Alaska, with further divisions planned for foods, goods, textiles and vacations from and across other Arctic regions. Tapping into the vast Chinese market and my love of homeland is the underlying fuel behind these ventures. Some winters I may reside in the US Pacific Northwest, or the Greater China region, investigating opportunities or investment in these enterprises, or working with partners in their own respective industries.
