Leigh Ann Jacobson

Leigh Ann Jacobson, M.A. is a fundraiser, author, instructor, and lecturer. She currently serves as Director of Advancement at The Stanley Clark School (SCS), an independent, coeducational day school enrolling students from three years old through the 8th grade located in South Bend, Indiana. In her role, Leigh Ann directs, designs, and implements strategies that maximize personal engagement and produce increasing levels of support for SCS fundraising initiatives and programs. She created SCS’s first lifetime donor society and established SCS’s first planned giving society. Through targeted solicitation strategies and a focus on data integrity, Leigh Ann’s efforts resulted in growing the donor base and increasing the annual fund by 25% in less than 2 years. She also manages SCS’s annual dinner auction. Leigh Ann joined SCS with 13 years of fund development experience, having launched her fundraising career in 1998 as Director of Advancement Services at Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. There she grew her passion for prospect management and identification, trend analysis, and moves management. Thereafter, she served as Director of Development at Misericordia University, Dallas, Pennsylvania. Upon relocating to Indiana, Leigh Ann served as Director of Development for the YWCA of Northern Indiana and then was recruited by the United Way of St. Joseph County to serve as Chief Development Officer. Leigh Ann has been an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) since April 1999, serving as Chapter President and Vice President of Communications. She also is a published author of 100+ feature stories and articles in business journals and magazines. Leigh Ann currently teaches fundraising classes at Indiana University South Bend, including "Fundamentals of Fundraising" and "Make Your Year-End Appeal More Appealing". Leigh Ann has served previously as an adjunct faculty member teaching English compostion and literature courses at multiple universities. Leigh Ann is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business, Certificate in Executive Management; Arcadia University, M.A. English; and King's College, B.A. English.
