Over the past several decades, Leighton Hull has owned and operated multiple companies and franchises across Los Angeles. A former marketing and management consultant, Leighton Hull operated a consulting firm for several years, during which he worked with clients across various industries.
In this role he began working with the Todd Shipyards Corporation, where he eventually became an in-house consultant. During his tenure, Mr. Hull implemented diversity initiatives that increased the number of women and minority-owned business opportunities with the firm.
He has also spent time as a franchisee with McDonald's, Denny’s and Shell. While leading premises for these companies across Los Angeles, Leighton Hull earned awards for sales and customer growth. He subsequently expanded his Denny’s operations to Hawaii and Indiana.
Alongside his professional activities, Mr. Hull has been involved in social and economic issues. A board member of the National African American Leadership Summit, he served as the co-chairman of its Economic Development Committee. He has also served as chairman of the Lynwood Entrepreneur Development Academy.
