I was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduating high school, I moved to Austin, Texas. In Austin, I worked in Property Management as well as Mortgage Lending as a Personal Banker. I soon found my love of teaching.

I received my BS in Early Childhood Education from Texas State University in May 2008 graduating Summa Cum Laude as well as recognized by Kappa Delta Pi.

I received my Certification in Early Childhood Education the same year in Texas with an added on certificate in ESOL.

Upon moving to Lexington, South Carolina in October 2011, I have increased my certification to Elementary Certification. I am now certified to teach from Early Childhood up to 6th grade.

I have been trained with the Leader In Me program as well as Paidea, and a Mentor for MAT graduate students from University of South Carolina. I am also a certified Mentor for Lexington School District One.

I received my Masters Degree in Education, Divergent Learning through Columbia College here in South Carolina.

I have been married for over 13 years to my wonderful husband, Carlos. We have two beautiful amazing children, Samantha (11) and Nathan (10). We enjoy going to the movies, playing outdoors, and reading.
