Hey, my name is Leilani Spring Fischbeck; I am a travel and health enthusiast and Recreation Therapist (CTRS), with a passion for creating.
I have several websites, some of which I helped create and others which I've curated with a subject in mind.
One of my first sites was titled “Health Break with Leilani Spring“, completed when earning a Journalism Masters degree from Full Sail University. Those stories covered the latest breaking news on current health discoveries, concerns, and dangers occurring in Southern California. Ideally, most of the stories captured the inner details of the problem, and the website provided an outlet to discuss.
Another site is my design platform; curating content is one of my hobbies, so I built a website with an emphasis on design and user experience.
My latest (and personal favorite) is Health Around the World, where I combine my passion for travel with relatable health information; a slightly opinionated news-esque guide to the adventures of traveling backed by factual health information.
Other than exploring my world as a content creative and working as a recreation therapist (CTRS) with seniors, snowboarding, ocean swimming, hiking, photography, and socializing are just a few of my hobbies! I also love to cook.
While growing up in a fast-paced news environment with a very social family, I felt I wanted to create something and be social. I have worked across the board in the healthcare field and relate a lot of my personal experience to the ‘human-centered experience’, whether it be providing health services (RT), traveling and understanding health culture, or being creative through design. My goal is to share informative, authentic content and enjoy the world of human connection around the world.
