I am a single mother and grandmother of 3 who had her first child right out of high school. So, statistically I shouldn't even be having this conversation with you guys ight now. I didn't go to college, so I entered the work force to take care of my child. I had the desire to work, but I always knew deep in my heart that I was not cut out for the typical 9 to 5. I attended Taylor Business Institute in Manhattan, New York where I became certified to work in the hospitality field. I dispatched limo's for high end celebrity and political clients and worked in a high end restaurant catering lavish parties, but I still felt as if I was on the fringe of things. I soon discovered that I wanted to be in the Entertainment Business.

I began my career in the Entertainment Business as an artist. As a little girl I used to stand in the mirror and sing into a hairbrush after a rousing morning of Soul Train and American Banstand. I rounded out the day with a midnight episode of Don Kirshners Rock Concert. I knew I couln't sing, and Hip-Hop was hot on the horizon. I was an excellent poet as a young girl, so it all fit. I eventually became a member of a duo named "G-Spot". The group was comprised of me and my best friend, Gigolete. She is one of the original femal rappers. We obrained a deal from Motown, but faced an unfortunate turn in our career. After a career as an artist was no longer an option, I parlayed my enhanced lyrical skills into my first book "Psalms of a Battered Soul". The ups and downs of my career as an artist developed my love for artist management. I currently manage an artist, Dutch Schultz. Prior to enrolling in Full Sail I have been the personal assistant to two well known celebrities, i always wondered where all of this dicersified experience would lead me and I'm glad it was here. I will be graduating in December from Full Sail with a BA in Entertainment Business, even with the responsibility of parenthood, i have maintained a 3.2 average! i am living proof that even though you may make a bad choice, never give up! Never stop persuing your dreams!
