Hi! I'm Lena, and I'm a freelance translator who made her home at the communication crossroads a long time ago. I mainly work in audiovisual translation and localization, which allows me to transfer dialogue dynamism and tone across languages, but I love working on literary projects as well. Not only that, but I'm a committed and almost neurotic storytelling fan, obsessed with capturing even the smallest subtleties in each turn of phrase.

I translate from English, Spanish,and Galicianin any direction, and occasionally from German. Beyond translation itself, I have experience as a Spanish proofreader, which has sharpened my senses to each and every linguistic nook and cranny and to clarity and rhythm.

I'm also particularly keen on how identity issues engage with language use, and my work is always approached from a sensitive perspective attuned to class, race, gender, and sexualitystruggles.
