Leonard G. Rosen is Chief Executive Officer of Barclays Israel and a Managing Director of Barclays, positions he has held since October 2008. From 1994 to 2008, Mr. Rosen was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers, serving in various positions, including as Chief Executive Officer of Lehman Brothers Israel and as a Managing Director within Lehman Brothers’ global technology group.

In his career as an investment banker, Mr. Rosen has been involved in numerous landmark equity, M&A and fixed income transactions for Israeli and technology clients including advising on seven of the ten largest acquisitions ever by Israeli companies.

Selected clients and transactions include The State of Israel (bond offerings and privatizations, including the privatization of Israel's Oil Refineries Ltd.), Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (Financing and M&A, including the acquisition of New Jersey’s Barr Pharmaceuticals for $9 billion and the acquisition of Florida’s IVAX for $9 billion, the two largest Israeli M&A deals ever), Delek Energy ($900 million financing of Tamar Natural Gas Project), Research in Motion ($945 million equity offering), Scientific-Atlanta ($5.3 billion sale to Cisco Systems), Ormat Technologies (IPO and multiple equity and debt financings), Verint Systems (including its IPO and $1.1 billion acquisition of Atlanta-based Witness Systems), Orbotech ($290 million acquisition of San Jose-based Photon Dynamics), Wintegra ($300 million sale to PMC-Sierra), Saifun ($658 million sale to Spansion), and Passave ($300 million sale to PMC-Sierra).

Prior to joining the investment banking industry, Len was an attorney with the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Len has a B.A. degree and a law degree from Columbia University. He lives in Tel Aviv with his wife, the cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper, and their two children.
