Leoanrd Jackson
Student, Artist, and Father in Detroit, MI
Hey there, I'm Leonard Jackson, and my life's been a journey fueled by service and creativity. I proudly served in the U.S. Army for a solid decade, bringing my dedication to every mission. Detroit, MI, is where I was born and raised – that city's grit and heart are forever a part of who I am.
After my military days, I took on a new mission: education. I'm currently on the path to a Bachelor's in Business Administration at the University of Arizona Global Campus (UAGC). But my commitment doesn't stop there. I've found my calling working with fellow veterans at a Drug Rehabilitation Program right in Detroit. Helping my brothers and sisters find their footing again is something that hits close to home for me.
My two amazing kids keep me grounded, a constant reminder of the importance of family and community. When I'm not busy with my work, you'll find me lost in the world of words and melodies. I'm all about inspirational writing, crafting songs, and making music that speaks to the soul.
Looking ahead, I've got big dreams. I want to fuse my love for the arts and my passion for helping veterans and create something incredible. My vision? A non-profit that uses creativity and therapy to give veterans the support they deserve. It's a way for me to give back to show that healing can come in many forms.
Everything I do is about making a positive impact, from my military service to my journey in education and my meaningful work in veteran rehabilitation. Life's taught me that service can take many shapes, and I'm here to embrace them all.
