Leonard Piazza

An experienced, certified elections administrator based in Atlanta, Leonard Piazza serves DeKalb County, Georgia as election supervisor. He supervises elections in conjunction with diverse constituents that included community members, businesses, and government and professional agencies.

Leonard Piazza served previously as the director of elections for the Luzerne County government. Over the course of eight years in this role, he improved various procedures and forms to comply with applicable laws, consolidated electoral subdivisions, streamlined several important protocols, and reduced spending for elections operations. Leonard Piazza also worked to improve the customer service experience, focused on positive interactions, and ensured a high level of responsiveness. Moreover, his work with the elections website and the county’s social media strategy improved the county’s image and overall online presence.

Before he was promoted to director, Mr. Piazza served as the deputy director of elections. Prior to these positions, he served as an administrator for the Luzerne Schuylkill County Workforce Investment Agency for four years. He also has experience with campaign finance, project management, media relations, election laws, and advertising.

Leonard Piazza graduated from King’s College with a bachelor of arts in political science. He received specialized training in election law and administration.
