Leonard Sawyerr

A former finance analyst, Leonard Sawyerr (who also uses the more traditional surname Sawyer) has led a prolific career as an attorney, and has applied his expertise to a diverse array of cases. He has dealt with issues such as professional contract negotiations, bankruptcy, spousal abuse, immigration, and drunk driving. Leonard Sawyerr has worked in a variety of law offices in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. At Cyrus and Cyrus, as an example, he assisted celebrities with the process of finding an appropriate attorney. He has also helped clients seeking custody and protective orders. Mr. Sawyerr has operated his own legal practice in Los Angeles since 2008.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Leonard Sawyer worked in corporate finance assessment, advising bankers and traders in making critical financial decisions. Early in his career, he created models of financial markets as a Capital Markets Analyst with Bank One in Chicago and helped the bank's clients choose appropriate financial services. Mr. Sawyer then went on to become a Trading Assistant for Rock Capital Markets, where he specialized in options trading with the Chicago Board of Trade and collaborated with programmers in renovating Rock's database systems.

Leonard Sawyerr earned a dual Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Loyola College of Law in New Orleans, where he was a Class Merit Scholar. While a student, Mr. Sawyerr tried a number of cases with Loyola's Law School Clinic and served as a Law Clerk for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.

Leonard Sawyerr has volunteered with both the Children's Miracle Network and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. In his spare time, he enjoys athletics, photography, and martial arts, and is also pursuing professional writing opportunities.
