I am a teacher and writer/illustrator, with a special interest in screenwriting, children's fiction, and botanical painting.

I have a bachelor's degree in Arabic with Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, an MA in Screenwriting and I'm currently in the middle of a Creative Writing PhD, focussing on the representation of fathers in children's and young adult fiction.

I enjoy sharing knowledge - I don't like ivory towers and I believe in making great ideas accessible. I love to see people having a go at writing, painting, or discovering something new.
