John is a third year BCom Student at UBC in the Sauder School of Business He has excellent leadership skills as supported by four years of experience as captain of his high school and university basketball teams, selected by coaches and teammates. Friendly and outgoing, his easy going personality allows him to communicate effectively and genuinely with people of all ages and interests.

Since the age of 10 John has been a passionate basketball player who has played for numerous teams representing his local club, community, high school, and university. He strongly believes that goal setting and the pursuit of excellence in the field of play translates to other life ventures.

As a social person, he values puts great value in the relationships he has with his family and friends. To create new relationships and maintain existing ones he puts lots of emphasis on communication, while remembering "We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak."

John believes that most learning takes place outside of a classroom, and thus is eager to learn.
