I thrive on hard work and keeping busy - I guess you could call me a bit of a workaholic! I’m organised, I love to research new topics and enjoy writing and editing.
Most recently, I was employed at View London as an editor for the What’s On section of the website. I researched events and wrote articles to a high standard for SEO purposes, organised and prioritised a large continuous workload, met strict deadlines and interacted and supported other departments including Marketing.
I have a good eye for detail, which is great for the proofreading aspect of my work. Whether it’s spotting the comma missing from a possessive noun or realising the database information doesn’t match the hard copy, I’m definitely the person who will find it.
I’m an incredibly motivated person and have worked both independently and as part of a team throughout my life and my enthusiasm and sense of humour have allowed me to get along with a wide range of personalities.
Computers are definitely my forte and I’m proficient in a range of office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and am able to use CMS programs, Google Drive and Docs among many others. Hell, I even built my own PC!
Wherever I am and whatever I do, I always like to go that extra mile to ensure a job well done. In the past, I’ve written handy job manuals to help with staff training and articles for a magazine when we were short on content (note, my job there was as a salesperson and administrator) and for View London, I travelled up to London to attend events which I later reported on for the website blog, Urban Pundit.
