Léon Masembe

Léon Masembe has always had a passion for moving his body, at a young age he began with swimming and got three diplomas. After that he started with taekwondo which he practised for almost 6 years after that he started dancing clown/crip walk at a young age of 11 years old which he was learning from watching youtube videos. He grew fast and soon was uploading videos of himself dancing around his house. .

After a year he got enough of it because he thought there wasn't a lot of new things to learn. Another reason was that the community died out and it wasn't as fun anymore. So he tried out different sport in the years after. Soccer followed while attending VWO Gymnasium in school. He tried out acting in a theater and did this for 2 years. In almost everything he did he was having fun and being very passionate but it wasn't enough. Then finally at the age of 17 he found his old passion renewed. Dancing. After watching videos of famous dancers like Les Twins & Ian Eastwood etc. He knew what he wanted to do. He started freestyling and dancing in his room everyday for several hours while also participating in a dance theater show.

His passion grew so quickly that he became addicted to it. After a year of dancing he decided to go to Urban Dance Camp in Lörrach where he took 80 classes in 20 days. Dancing 6 hours every day being teached by the most famous and notorious dancers in the scene, like Keone & Mariel Madrid, Lyle Beniga, Vinh Nguyen and many others. After this he knew what he wanted to do. Teach around the world just like they did and practise their passion every day in life. The following years he trained even more and harder to fulfill that dream.
