I am a native of North Carolina. I prefer the mountains over the beach. When I travel I look for ideas to create figurines and knick knacks. My favorite food is a Philly Cheese Steak. I am a huge movie fan, and tech geek. I am unlike most artist, I don't have one particular style. I create caricatures, portraits, classic cars and a host of other collectible items and art.
I have always loved to draw people. Since the fifth grade I knew I wanted to become an artist when my teacher asked me to illustrate certain scenes from a novel we were reading. I remember selling my first portrait in the 9th grade for a single dollar. The conviction to become an artist came for me in my early twenties, when two of my uncles who were professional artist passed away in a very short time frame. For me being an artist meant keeping their memory alive, keeping the torch going. I never really got to know them until I was an adult, and the brief time I shared with them prepared me for the road ahead. I believe that our talents and gifts are not for us, but to help others follow their passions.
Since 2001, I have had the privilege of doing many great portraits and caricatures including, a portrait for the former President of Duke Power Dr. Ruth G. Shaw and caricatures for Celebrity Cruises in 2008 enroute to B.C., in the carolinas, Charlotte Motor Speedway, NASCAR Hall of Fame, Discovery Place, and many more great companies. I have to mention all of the parties, picnics, Christmas Parties, halloween, and tons of weddings. From all of the events since 2007 I have on average created more than 12,000 caricatures.
