Leonor Reis

Portugal, Aveiro

Leonor Reis is a product of the 20th century and because I grew up in a country which I considered to be extremely rigorous, Germany, I admire particularly people who are usually punctual (I do not take this principle to extremes).
I have a degree in Physics and Chemistry (Uni. of Aveiro, PT), and at that point I had come to understand that the experience in interpersonal communication and relations was a critical factor for success, considering that people own very distinct characteristics, and generally have similar ambitions.
The experience I gained made me dedicate myself for several years to the commercial area, and unavoidably, to the human relations management. It was the fascination with design and architecture that motivated me to be an entrepreneur and consultant in the highly competitive real estate sector.
Driven by the stimulus to learn more, I took a Master's degree in Marketing Management, with specialization in personal branding. I believe that a strong personal brand influences how others perceive us, how we relate to others, it boosts the success of human capital and consequently stimulates business. As I consider human resources to be the basis for the success of an organization, I obtained a certificate in personal branding in Miami. I created my own pro-active slogan: “1000 Miles Act: First Elevate Human Capital”.
I also engage in social, charitable and cultural causes, and I was invited to be a member of the Board of Directors of a foundation/ a non-profit organization. I am also a blogger (LEONORREIS.COM), where a give full reign of freedom to my specialization. I am passionate about marketing and I am currently doing a PhD in Business Administration.
I love multicultural environments and being in touch with new cultures.
I stand behind the concept and practice of well-being, which encourages a healthy lifestyle ... a balanced diet and regular physical activity, without giving up the experience of going to recommended restaurants and tasting new dishes. I love wine tasting, preferably red wines, and mainly the very famous Port wines. To me we can truly enjoy a drink when it is accompanied by a good conversation, favoring the exchange of ideas and opinions ... Basically, the wine tasting permits positive brainstorming.
One day I would like to go on a Safari… maybe in Kenya!... But let´s be honest... With so many monkeys out there, sleeping in the Jungle is out of the question! :)
