Leon is collaborating with social-entrepreneurs, community activists artists and musicians, in working towards sustainable development in the San Francisco Bay Area,

He gained a wide knowledge on sustainable design and developement while working directly on various public conservation projects with the Student Conservation Association (SCA), and the City of Oakland's Rain Barrel program, where he completed rainwater harvest system's demonstrations, designs and installations. He also received a certification in Sustainable Design at Stopwaste.org.

He served on the CIty of Oakland's Mayoral-Elected Youth Advisory Commission- Economics Development committee. He supported community-based environmental justice organizations such as The Bay Area Wilderness Training (BAWT) and the People's Grocery. He was an East Bay Asian Youth Community(EBAYC) Garden Internship Coordinator at Oakland High School where he help developed a educational health and nutrition garden pilot program.

He completed his formal studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Environmental Studies and Economics with emphasis on Sustainable Design and Development. He attended Oakland High School and was influenced in the Environmental Science Academy and Peer Health Education training for 3 years.

Currently, he is a Field Energy Consultant at SolarCity, a full-service solar installer company based in San Mateo, California.
