I’m Leonardo Nunes Xavier Ramos — but most people call me Leo. I’m an Operations and Customer Support professional with over 10 years of experience working across logistics, services, and remote support roles for U.S.-based companies.
My professional path has been shaped by international experiences from an early age. At 17, I moved from Brazil to Mexico, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Living abroad helped me develop strong cross-cultural communication skills and become fluent in Spanish and English alongside my native Portuguese.
After returning to Brazil and gaining hands-on experience in logistics and maritime operations, I moved to the United States to pursue an MBA at the Brennan School of Business, Dominican University (AACSB-accredited). My graduate studies strengthened my foundation in operations management, accounting, and process improvement, while also reinforcing a practical, execution-oriented mindset.
Professionally, I’ve worked in shipping and logistics, manufacturing support, and business operations, often in fast-paced environments where accuracy, organization, and accountability are critical. I’ve also co-founded and managed a small construction and consulting business in Brazil, which gave me first-hand experience with financial control, compliance, and operational decision-making.
Currently, I work remotely as a virtual front-desk and customer support assistant for U.S. optometry clinics. In this role, I handle patient scheduling, inbound and outbound calls, appointment confirmations, rescheduling, and administrative follow-ups. I serve as the first point of contact for patients, so professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail are essential parts of my daily work.
I’m highly comfortable with Excel, Google Workspace, CRM-based workflows, and operational reporting, and I enjoy improving processes to make teams more consistent and reliable. Colleagues describe me as dependable, organized, and quick to learn new systems.
Outside of work, I enjoy languages, continuous learning, and projects that allow me to combine structure with real-world problem solving. I’m always interested in opportunities where I can support operations, customer experience, and process improvement for remote, international teams.
