McAdoo pursued higher education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a well-respected Historically Black University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Arts and joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. His academic focus on art, design, and art history laid the groundwork for his career as an Art Educator. He is near completion of a Master’s of Art in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Art Curriculum and Social Work at UALR.

He holds a teaching license from the Arkansas Department of Education and endorsements as an ESL Instructor and an ADOL teacher. His career began as an art educator in the Little Rock School District, where he was deeply committed to promoting visual arts education at all school levels. He has also served as a college and career coach and held various positions within the Little Rock Education Association, helping to enhance teacher effectiveness.
