. Following is just a write-up I did to share my testimony on the blog site, I'm setting up. Before I had to reduce it down to comply w/ the blog size req's. I'll received a calling from God to start a business. My story will be the foundation, the business will be built on. I don't have my total business plan written up yet. I'm just putting together the basic principles first, then the Mission statement and the motto/slogan, followed by the purpose & "how-to's" (i.e. instructions) will fall out. I will be also writing a book, which will turn into a series of books. Those prayers I sent were for me too. I'm dreaming big and stepping out on faith. God will make the way. We are NOT going to worry. GOD is leading this train and we are following his instructions. HE will keep the train on HIS track. Amen. Thank you GOD. I love you. God loves you best. Looking forward to your feedback. When you read it, I know some of it is shocking &sad. Just know I've forgiven both, my Mother & Father. I forgave myself, then I washed it with the blood of Jesus, so the devil can't use it to hurt me again. So look past that, I need you to tell me how it reads and what you felt when you read it. God bless, talk to you later, Lesa Let me give you some history. I really mean "my story". Unlike most of you, I did not have a loving Mother. My Mother had a survivors' mentality. If he's beating you he's not beating me. If I go along with his plan, life for me will be better.. I was the oldest of 3 girls. She sacrificed us all, at any cost. My Mother burned me with a cigarette, on the left side of my face, when I was 8 months old, I had just learned to walk. She was 5 months pregnant with my little sister. When my sister was born I was overjoyed. She was mine, she was my responsibility, my parents told me. When I turned 4 yrs old, my Mother was 5 months pregnant with my baby sister. My Father started molesting me at 5 yrs old. My Mother knew, she hated me, by age 8, she told me, she wished I was never born; my Father went from grooming me, to fingering me. At 16, I had had enough, I decided to run away from home. My Mother figured it out & told my Father. He came downstairs, fists first. He punched me, hit me, knocked me down, stomped me, threw me all around the room. I looked up and my Mother was smiling. I ended up at a Runaway Shelter. I had to, at 16, decide what to do, for the rest of my life. The staff at the Runaway Shelter, wanted me to press charges. All I could think about was my sisters, they were my responsibility. If I left them, who would protect them. So I decided to go back home. I will do whatever I had to do to get out alive & protect my sisters. So, I did, I got a job as the evening cook at a Nursing Home. I made $75.00 per wk. My Father made me pay $50.00 a wk rent. I did, I saw it as keep-the-peace money. My Mother hurt herself on the job. She was a Nurse's Aid. I worked her shift for a week. I also had to perform wifely duties with my Father. As long as my sisters were protected, I complied. I paid the keep-the-peace money through my high school years & while I was working 80 hrs-per-wk each Summer. I worked my way thru college for minimum wage (time & a-half for overtime). Minimum wage was $3.35 per-hr. May 1987, I graduated Cum Laude from CSU, Wilberforce, Oh, the College of Business w/ a dual-major; CIS & Marketing. I was recruited by DoD/DLA (eventually transferred to DoD/DISA) into the OSP (Outstanding Scholar Program) as a Computer Programmer. I started right out of college, Jul 1987, I had just turned 22. I was making $19,000 yrly; by 1990, I was promoted 3 times & became a Program Analyst. Then over the next 10 yrs, I was promoted to Team Lead, then a Project Lead to Division Chief; by the time I was 35 in 2000, I was making $95,000 yrly. I, then went to DAU (Defense Acquisition University), where I graduated & attained my Level III Certification, before completing & attaining my Program Manager Certification, in Dec 2005. Though, I had served as acting Deputy Program Manager for NCES (Net-Centric Enterprise Services) for 3 yrs; I officially became the Deputy Program Manager of the C2 IT System, named GCCS-J (Global Command & Control System-Joint). Jan 2006, my salary was $127,000 yrly. I took off work, Jan 2007, for a year to take care of my Mother & complete my Masters in MIS (Management Information Systems) at Univ. of Phoenix (online) So I would be better equipped to compete on the SES-level. I was also a very active physically. I won a slew of body building trophies; taught aerobics; ran both the Army 10-Miler & the Marine Corp Half-Marathon a total of 4 times. Yoga & Pilates became my new workout regimens. My physical abilities along w/ my education and professionalism, helped me win the respect of 144 active Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, + Civilian & contractor personnel. Nov 2007, I went to visit my sister & nephew. On 4 Nov 2007, the day I was supposed to return to my home, in Stafford, Va., l h
