We keep hearing the word " craftsman " over and over. Whether it's 'artisan cheese', 'homemade bagel' or 'handcrafted furniture', in my opinion the term has become a bit redundant, and I'm starting to feel disheartened. It became more determined when Domino's Pizza launched a series of hand-made pizzas? The term artisan quickly became meaningless. When I was immersed in building a craft-based social enterprise, I obviously reassessed my views. I learned a few things that convinced me of the intrinsic value of real handmade products. Craftsmen are skilled artisans who generally use high quality materials to make items by hand in a non-mechanical manner.Craftsmen try to create a functional object that can penetrate aesthetics and craftsmanship. Crafts have a purpose and have intrinsic value.
