Lesley Friedman Bodzy

Lesley Friedman Bodzy has spent nearly a decade as an artist splitting time between studios in New York City and Houston, Texas. During this period she has studied painting at New York City's Hunter College under the aegis of artists such as Gabriele Evertz, Robert Swain, and Valerie Jaudon. She additionally completed a drawing marathon course with Graham Nickson at the New York Studio School. Lesley Friedman Bodzy has also studied with the New York Art Students League, having refined her painting techniques with the support of Susan Shatter and Henry Finkelstein. Her work utilizes a variety of materials, from traditional oil and acrylics to mixed media.
Ms. Bodzy is a master of fine arts candidate at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). She expects to graduate with her degree in studio art in 2021. Prior to beginning her MFA studies, she received a bachelor of arts in history from Mount Holyoke College. When she is not painting, Lesley Bodzy’s interests range from supporting charities, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, to engaging with professional groups and organizations, including her position with the Greater Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
