Athens, GA

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.J.) degree in Digital and Broadcast Journalism and a certificate in New Media at The University of Georgia. You can usually find my iPhone glued to my hand and my eyes glued to Twitter.

I'm always eager to write about anything that catches my eye, from the protests in Turkey to a new viral video on YouTube. Social media is also very near and dear to my heart. This past year, I was handed the task of launching a brand new website for my sorority. Creating a website was a completely new experience for me, but I always enjoy a good challenge.

Currently, I serve on the executive board for UGA's Online News Association/Society of Professional Journalists. I am also a staff reporter for The Red & Black, an independent student newspaper in Athens.

I discovered my love for journalism early on just by watching the news with my family after dinner every day. I got my first taste of life as a journalist by writing for my high school newspaper and I was instantly hooked. When you feel that rush, that thrill through your work, you just know. I am a strong believer in loving what you do and doing what you love because passion drives us all.

"Dare to live the life you have dreamed for yourself. Go forward and make your dreams come true." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
