Leslie Anne Alexander

Leslie was born and raised in Delaware, Ohio, the second born of three girls. From a young age Leslie busied herself in all things artistic from music, to writing, singing, acting, and art. She still resides in Delaware with her husband and two sons. During the work week she is a busy stay at home Mom, but spends her weekends as a professional singer in the rock duo 'The Lucky Penny Sisters', in which she sings with her younger sister, Caitie. Leslie first became a published writer at eight years old, when a poem she submitted was published in her local news paper. She always recieved high grades with her writing but didn't really take it seriously until 2008, the year she got married. She sat down with an idea for a short story which would later become her first novel, "Whispers".
At the behest of her supportive mother, Kim, Leslie amused herself by going beyond the first ten pages of her short story and write a novel. Five years later, after picking it up, putting it down, cursing it a few times and toiling into the wee morning hours she finished it just this fall of 2013. Leslie couldn't be more pleased with how the book itself has turned out, and credits her husband, John, for his patience, encouragement, and never complaining about the endless nights he slept alone because she was on the computer working.
Leslie has a blog on Tumblr, where she catologues her thoughts about being a Mom, Wife, Writer and Rock Star. In her spare time she likes to watch movies, eat mountains of chocolate, dance like no one is watching and see live theatre. "Whispers" is set to be published via Amazon Kindel in May of 2014.
