Hi everyone! Thank you for visiting my first blog EVER (I'm really cheering myself on here, alone behind a computer. Nice). I'm a student, finishing-up at the University of Wisconsin, and will be nearing my studies quite far from the wild Midwest...Lima, Peru to be precise!

At my university I study English (Creative Writing) and Spanish. Using my studies in these two fields, I will be teaching English in Peru for six months. Clearly, I won't be just teaching. I've got a lot to learn, myself! Besides the obvious of wanting to solidify my Spanish-speaking skills, I'm also seeking to learn more about the cross-cultural exchange and experience of teaching English abroad. I desire to have a better understanding of both the Peruvian and Latin American cultures as well as their eductational systems, and the educational system of foreign English teachers.
