Leslie Anne Anderson
HR Executive, Workplace Strategist, and Writer in United States
About Me
I've spent nearly 30 years working where people, operations, and business meet—and I'm still fascinated by what makes organizations work well and what quietly gets in their way.
I'm an HR executive and workplace strategist with experience spanning talent acquisition, employee relations, HR operations, staffing, compliance, leadership, and organizational effectiveness. I've worked inside large global organizations, led HR locally, built operations from the ground up, and advised leaders navigating the very human problems that inevitably become business problems.
That experience has shaped the way I think about HR: people decisions have business consequences. I tend to look beyond the immediate workplace issue and ask what it means for the organization—its performance, culture, risk, leadership, and ability to grow.
I'm also a writer, an unapologetic lifelong learner, and the founder of Nine Thorn, a learning and transformation company focused on strengthening leadership effectiveness and organizational capability. My interests rarely stay neatly inside one box, and I like it that way. I'm usually reading, researching, writing, building something, or asking a question that sends me down an entirely new rabbit hole.
After nearly three decades, I still love the work. Organizations keep changing. People keep being complicated. Leadership keeps giving us something to talk about.
And I don't think I'm anywhere near finished learning yet.
