Leslie Rojas

When I first began discovering my interests, I had a goal to pursue a career in music business. Throughout my high school and early college years I gained an appreciation for the work it took to put on live performances. I visited concerts and festivals to see the results of these efforts by those behind-the-scenes. Today, I am so engulfed by opportunities and interests that I can honestly say, I do not know what I want to do.

Having moved to North Carolina from New York City, I have found an appreciation for the outdoors that I did not know existed. I have a passion for exploring new opportunities and places with my partner in crime, Lily. Nature has brought newfound interest in traveling the world and photographing my ventures in ways that are not the norm.

My time at Appalachian has been an eye-opening experience for me. I have found an interest in the non-profit world and have realized the work that can be done to help humanity. I’ve learned about communication, marketing, and leadership through my studies. My hope is that I can use these skills to move forward with an entity that finds itself close to my heart and intellect.

I hope to use these newly found passions and constantly growing skills to find my place in a world that embodies so many of my interests.
