Leslie S. Buck

Leslie S. Buck has devoted a lifetime to business and family. For the first half of his life, Leslie S. Buck earned acknowledgements for his athletic and academic performances at Princeton University, his service flying air missions over Vietnam with the United States Navy, and his work in real estate and finance. While studying economics at Princeton, Leslie S. Buck was elected President of the Omicron Delta Epsilon, an honors society for economics students, during his senior year. He also participated in numerous sports, including soccer and tennis. Competing at a national level, Leslie S. Buck was ranked 49th in the U.S. Men’s Open Division at one point, and competed in 3 U.S. Open Championships. After graduating from Princeton, Leslie S. Buck enlisted in the United States Navy's Flight Officer Program; he flew more than 100 missions over Vietnam and won several medals for his service. Leslie S. Buck then went on to earn his Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, before embarking on several successful business ventures. His first position was with the Sea Pines Real Estate Company, a real estate development firm where he worked as Assistant to the President. Leslie S. Buck went on to work as the Treasurer and later Chief Financial Officer of the R.L. Burns Corporation, an energy exploration and development company. Leslie S. Buck left the R.L. Burns Corporation to found Vista Partners, a small investment banking, brokerage, and venture capital firm, which he successfully managed for 6 years before joining Xelan, Inc. Leslie S. Buck was instrumental in developing the financial services firm into a major player in the medical industry. Following retirement from Xelan, Leslie S. Buck shifted his focus to his personal life. He devotes his time to raising his twin children with his wife, whom he met late in his career, and sponsoring local athletic programs. Leslie S. Buck also enjoys traveling around the world with his family, and is an avid fisherman.
