Language is a strange thing. It has the power to make the heart give birth to new feeling with every beat. And yet sometimes, it falls short...leaving heavy spaces of silence that echo its defeat. Nevertheless, I love words. I love reading them. And writing them. I love hearing them spoken. And hearing them declared. I love discovering them after they've been long and well-kept in silence. And swimming in them when they spout free from the mouths of passionate people. Words. Individual airwaves of meticulously crafted sound that build entire worlds once they're strung together and thrown out into the abyss of waiting hearts. I love words. So I shall put the pen-tip to paper and let the words guide the ink how it will.

I'm a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, where I studied theology and mental health. I've lived in six different countries so far, have more pins in the map than I can count, and yet still not enough. I hope to see the Icelandic northern lights, cross the Moroccan desert, and explore the jungles of India before I'm 40. I have an irrepressible love of books, travel, jazz, and horse-racing. Painting, sailing, and writing are three of my favorite past-times. Justice and mercy are the flags I stand behind. The power of language to express the emotional tides of what the human heart feels with every beat, is something I hope to unravel more and more as time wears on. It's a pity the clock should keep ticking, but then again each moment brings something new.
