Leticia Guadarrama

I am a native speaker of Spanish . I have 25 years of experience as both a teacher in the classroom and a leader of staff development. I have developed and taught reading curriculum in Spanish to native Spanish speakers and native English speakers. I have worked with ELL students in a variety of settings: in an English immersion program in Mexico, in regular English classrooms, and in partial and full immersion programs. I have many years of experience both writing state standards and aligning curriculum with the standards. I have been a staff development presenter for the district in science, math, ELL, NLL and Literacy. I have completed peer coaching training and have successfully worked on a team for the last 19 years. I have given SIOP training and I was the ACTFL tester for the district. In addition I started a successful mentoring program for ELL middle school students. I voluntarily initiated and led the Family Involvement nights for the parents of Spanish speakers.
