The recipient of a bachelor's degree in accounting from DePaul University, Leticia Peralta later completed a master’s degree in finance at the Chicago-based educational institution and has since been invited back numerous times as a guest speaker. Upon graduating, Leticia Peralta worked for both LaSalle National Bank and Bank of America, where she gained a combined 16 years of experience serving government, corporate, and nonprofit clients.

Leticia Peralta's passion for helping nonprofit clients has extended into her personal life as she has served on the board of the Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Additionally, she has been recognized as Woman of the Year by the Anti-Defamation League and the Coalition for United Community Action. Her latest extracurricular passion has been her work with the Michael A. DeStefano Foundation, a nonprofit that advocates for people who have sustained traumatic brain injuries.

In 1993, she founded Davis Financial, Inc., and served as president of the firm until 2003. Since 2007, Leticia Peralta has served as principal of Peralta Garcia Solutions, a Chicago-based financial management and consulting firm that specializes in structuring capital debt transactions, managing operating budgets, and developing capital market strategies.
