Dr. Letizia Gambrell-Boone is an educator with over 20 years experience in program and grants administration, teaching, strategic planning and increasing global consciousness. Her passion for global engagement for youth inspired her to start a non-profit organization, PassionWorkz, and create the Young Diplomats Summer Residential Program for high school students at Hampton University. Dr. Gambrell-Boone has made a commitment to providing tools that assist students in expressing themselves creatively while pursuing their desired outcomes. In her current role as coordinator of the Liberal Studies program and faculty member at Hampton University, she uses timeless philosophical truths to assist students in clarifying career goals and creating a unique course of study to achieve them. The breadth of Dr. Gambrell-Boone's experiences hasafforded her opportunities to work at both public and private universities across the east coast. Her career experiences include service at Hampton as Director of the Assessment Center, Executive Assistant to President Harvey, Program Manager for President George W. Bush’s African Textbook Initiative, and Department Chair for Education; Special Assistant to the President at Ramapo College of New Jersey; and her recent service as the Deputy to the University Dean for Recruitment and Diversity at The City University of New York.
