People pay me to write Rhysling-nominated poems and speculative short stories, found in anthologies like "Myriad Lands" and "Sunvault".

My life revolves around cooking gluten-free food with my wife, fellow scholar-poet-writer India Valentin, spoiling two cats, managing our shared disability Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and writing.

Before I was a writer of the fantastic, I wrote two theses on magic, gender, power, and religion in medieval England and France. I continue to do historical research and am for hire as a researcher or historical consultant.
