LeVanTay, a former Beauty Queen with many titles under her belt; has garnered many fans from her appearances in pageants, performances as well as her community work as an advocate for Caribbean Athletics and workshops helping young girls and boys enhance self esteem. “ I love the stage, I love fashion and I love my community so those are the three places you will always find me.” LeVanTay chimes. When asked, who are you really? LeVanTay responds in the middle of a gorgeous hundred watt smile, “I am truly first and foremost a poet who sings. I create the melodies that make people feel good, and once they are into the groove, at the same time the lyrics make them think. I think that’s the epitome of my gift and a perfect balance if you could ever strike one.” She has coined the phrase “So sick, I collaborate with myself,” and her songs represent a kind of split personality; singing and D-Jaying (the Jamaican Dancehall Technique).
