Over the course of his career in the banking industry, Levon Mathews has held executive- and C-level roles at several institutions. As market president for Union Planters Bank of Memphis, for instance, he oversaw the performance of 750 employees across more than 60 branch locations in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Later, as national sales manager and executive vice president with Regions Financial Corporation, Levon Mathews guided corporate efforts in the private banking sector and held responsibility for a deposit and loan baseline that approached $13 billion at its peak. His most recent role was as president and CEO of First Federal of Port Angeles in Washington.
At First Federal of Port Angeles, where he served from 2009 to 2012, Levon Mathews held oversight for an institution worth close to $800 million. He focused his efforts on improving regulatory affairs, spearheading a new commercial lending plan, and enhancing risk management efforts, among other concerns. Mr. Mathews also moved the institution from breaking even to reporting a net income of $3.8 million from 2010 to 2011.
Levon Mathews completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University and obtained his master of business administration from Butler University.
