Seraph Counselling and Psychotherapy is a therapeutic service for adults who are looking to address a specific problem, increase their self awareness and for those who may feel lost or stuck. Through the process of psychotherapy, clients will be facilitated to make personal changes by becoming aware of the underlying pull of their behaviours, thoughts and feelings that they may not currently understand; what ever their goal, I offer a confidential service that is welcoming and warm for them to begin their therapeutic journey.

About Me: I achieved my first class honours degree in Psychology at Hull University whilst in post at Hull Women's Aid, offering women and children that have experienced domestic abuse with practical and emotional support. I carried out my training in transactional analysis psychotherapy and was awarded my diploma at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy, which is a member of the United Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Alongside my training I have carried out a placement at Survivors in Hull, working with adults who have experienced sexual abuse.

I am also a member of the Institute of Transactional Analysis (ITA), and so I work in accordance with their Ethics and Codes of Practice. I am fully insured by the Psychologists Protection Society.

In order to provide my clients with the best possible service, I receive supervision with a UKCP supervisor and have access to personal therapy as I am committed to my own personal therapeutic journey.

My qualifications and memberships are all very important yet it is my own personal interest in people, their behaviours, difficulties and strengths that drive my career choice and relationships with my clients. My own therapeutic journey has meant that I have been privileged to experience the positive changes through increasing my self awareness; the process is something I have full confidence in, passion for and I am eager to assist others who are looking to make their own changes.

The client is in control of where they choose to go in their sessions whilst I facilitate using theory and experience. The relationship between me and my clients is a crucial aspect of therapy and counseling, for which I offer confidentiality, honesty and integrity.

If you have any questions or any areas of therapy that you would like to discuss, please do not hesitate to contact me via emailing from here or calling on 07980 291528.
