Schwarzman Scholar in Singapore

Samuel (Li-Hsun) Hsiao is in charge of regional business development for Singaporean elogistics company Janio. Prior to the position, he was a strategy manager at venture builder Momentum Works and a relationship manager at DBS Bank. In 2016, Samuel was selected globally as a Schwarzman Scholar.

He is interested in development issues particularly in promoting financial inclusion through social innovation and advanced technologies; in the long run, Samuel aspires to devote in helping developing societies eliminate poverty by structuring education, health, financial power and youth empowerment.

Samuel speaks English, Mandarin, and conversational Cantonese; he enjoys playing tennis, swimming, and sending postcards.

Samuel holds an M.A. in global affairs from Tsinghua University, B.A. in diplomacy from National Chengchi University, and has studied at Tufts University and The University of Hong Kong.
