I am a metal monkey x x x A little bit about me and my dance background: Hi! I am Lianne Brown and I have recently turned 33 years old. I have danced since I was 3 years old and my first experience on stage was at 4 performing at the Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline, Scotland. I have trained extensively in many forms of dance which lead me to compete and perform all through my childhood. At 8 year old I got my first lead professional role in Babes in the Wood and Robin Hood staged at Edinburghs "Kings Theatre". I continued through my youth performing professionally with dance companies, groups and shows. My mum is a dance teacher which opened my eyes up to teaching from a very young age. I did not get trained personally by my mother (this would not have worked), however, I did start assisting her with the young end from the age of 11 years old. Which I also continued through my high school years and as I got older I got more experienced teaching all levels by the time i was 14. At 16 I got accepted to Edinburgh Theatre School which I was over the moon for! This was a lot more gruelling and strict than I expected, but the discipline did me the world of good! Throughout the 3 year course I learned and grew as a performer and teacher. I was lucky enough to perform professionally whilst still training full time and also assisted in teaching dance and in singing. I left college early at 18 years old as I got my first job as a singer/dancer on Cruise ships. This again pushed me and made me grow as an entertainer. I spent the next 2+ years travelling the world on 3 different ships. At 20 I moved to London where I performed as a singer/dancer/actress with dance companies, music videos, roadshows, events, commercials, films, tv.... I also learned my ongoing love of writing music and poetry. When I moved to Leeds I worked with a few dance companies and sang in bands. At 25 I also got right back into teaching and sharing my knowledge and passion. I still regularly work with the West Yorkshire Playhouse in Leeds and have different projects all over the country. I choreograph and lead workshops on a regular basis, whilst I also still take to the stage. I also choreograph shows and choreograph my bespoke dance company RawFusion. Although Halifax became my base some 4 years ago, I travelled to Dubai and became a resident vocalist in a band out there for 6 months and later I went to Tokyo for a contract. However, my time here was cut short as my nephew Arran was very sick back in Scotland. It became too hard to live soooo far away. At least back home in Halifax I was only a drive away. This inspired me to set up my company Fusion Arts Base in 2011 where I started my company. I have many exciting projects that are developing and expanding! Check out my new business "Fusion Impact" As you can tell, I have loved travelling and really living as a nomad, however I am now happy to call Halifax home with my fiancé and his kids, my pup Troy (who was abandoned in our bin storage) and my snake Rocky. I enjoy my life greatly as an entertainer and a teacher, it's what I know best and wouldn’t have it any other way. Xxx The other bits about me you will know if you know me or feel free to query/ask me anything! Life is too short and I am generally an open book. I work a lot for charities and try to help where I can if I can. Check out our charity "The Arran Brown Rainbow Foundation" and my new band "Jacob's Ladder" Thanking u for your time in reading about me.... Hope you're not too bored lol! Xxxx
