Hi I am Libbie Weiner (Why-ner)! Just because this needs to be creative, here is the backstory to one of my favorite pictures and moments in my life. I came across this picture a while ago when I was going through some traveling pictures; once I saw this picture it really hit me with a wave of nostalgia. Like a BIG wave.

I was a sophomore in highschool- not really that interesting. I went on a trip to the British Virgin Islands with my best friend and our older sisters; we stayed on a boat for a week with our captain, island hopping every 2 days. It was honestly one of the coolest experiences in my life.

We had just swam back to our boat from Scrub island- as we were swimming the clouds started to get darker and form. I have always been the girl who would randomly leave my friends to go sit outside in the grass and just listen to music, or go swim in the ocean alone(probably weird but idc), so naturally I was like OMG THIS LOOKS SO COOL

A boat kind of near had been blasting music before we left for the island, but none I had really known or liked. But while we were swimming back, the ocean was super calm and it was completely silent. I already felt like I was in a movie. So, within a matter of 30 seconds, it begins to pour. Like, it started to rain so hard that I could barely see the boat I was swimming towards. For some reason, I just felt so inclined to float and let the rain hit me; and so did my best friend and sister. Without even noticing each other, we just floated on our backs and took it all in. The water was the perfect temperature and I was floating in one of the prettiest places on Earth- life was good. About a minute later, the boat near us played a song. This song was one of my favorite songs in my entire life, and still is. If you listen to the song, you’d understand. Super cringy I know, but I had never felt more alive; it was one of those moments where you knew there would never be one like it again.
